First modernised SWISS A340 takes off

With the modernised SWISS A340, business travellers can look forward to new seats in First Class, Business Class and Economy Class. In addition, a new in-flight entertainment system, including Internet on board, and new galleys will be installed. Passengers can also look forward to a comprehensive modernisation of the entire cabin, including a new lighting concept. These modifications will bring the A340's comfort standard up to that of a Boeing 777. In addition to Tokyo, SWISS's A340 also serves Boston, Johannesburg, Shanghai and Tel Aviv.

SWISS operates five Airbus A340s, 14 Airbus A330s and 10 Boeing 777-300ERs on long-haul routes. SWISS's long-haul network comprises 24 destinations.
