Brussels Airlines has eliminated all printed newspapers on its flights. Instead, passengers can receive a digital newspaper free of charge.
Passengers can choose from Belgian and Dutch newspapers. The switch to digital newspapers is a conscious decision, as Brussels Airlines works towards meeting today’s digital standards while reducing its environmental footprint. The removal of printed newspapers on all flights avoids 115 tonnes of waste and reduces the weight of the aircraft and thus its fuel consumption, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions of 35 tonnes per year.
