More flexible rebooking options for existing and new bookings

Many travel plans are affected by the Corona crisis and we want to ensure that you and your travellers have enough time and flexibility to adjust their travels to meet their needs. The Lufthansa Group airlines are now offering even more flexible rebooking options so that you can continue to book worry-free.

Flexible travel planning – with free of charge rebooking through 28 February 2021

In times like these, nothing is more important than feeling at ease. To ensure that you and your travelers can continue to book their travel with confidence and flexibility, all fares of Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Air Dolomiti, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings can be rebooked as often as necessary and without a change fee – through 28 February 2021.* Both the routing (including origin and destination)** and the travel date can be adapted to the new plans.

Important notes on rebooking flexibility:

  • Please note that all fare conditions must be adhered to when rebooking. If necessary, a fare difference has to be charged, for example for the new route, booking class or season
  • In principle, the rebooking fee is waived for any – even multiple – rebookings that are made through 28 February 2021. In addition, the first rebooking or reissue which takes place after this date is also free of any change fees.

Rebooking options for existing bookings (tickets issued on/before 15 May 2020):

Passengers can rebook once free of charge to a different travel date and/or a new routing, regardless of whether or not their flight has been cancelled. The trip can also be postponed until 2021, so that nothing stands in the way attending a business trip which has been rescheduled to next year.

  • The rebooking/reissue must be made by 31 January 2021 at the latest
  • New start of travel on/before 31 December 2021

Passengers who rebook before 31 August 2020 and start their new journey by 31 December 2020 will continue to receive a discount of EUR 50/50 USD/50 CHF.

TWP 2013 – Rebooking options for new bookings (tickets issued from 16 May to 30 June 2020)

Passengers of non-cancelled flights who wish to change their travel plans can rebook once free of charge to a different travel date.

  • The rebooking/reissue must be completed before the originally planned start of travel
  • New start of travel on/before 31 December 2021
  • Start and destination of the journey can be changed (exception: German domestic tickets may not be changed into international tickets and vice versa)

Passengers of cancelled flights may rebook once to a new routing and/or another travel date until 31 December 2021 at the latest. You can find all the details on lufthansa.com

We hope that these flexible and extended rebooking options will give you and your customers the comfort and flexibility to select their preferred travel date.

If you still want to travel, we ask you to always check the status of your flight and the current travel and entry restrictions of your final or transit destination before you start your journey. These might be subject to change on short notice.

* With the exception of bookings with the point of commencement in Japan

** Exception: German domestic tickets may not be changed into international tickets and vice-versa
