Another step towards climate protection: the airlines of the Lufthansa Group, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Eurowings, are offering passengers the opportunity to offset the CO₂ emissions of their flights.
The offsetting will go towards certified climate protection projects with the highest standards of quality.
Making your own flight climate-neutral is quite simple. During the online booking process, a CO2 calculator determines the impact the flight will have on the environment and proposes a contribution that neutralises this impact. The projects supported range from reforestation of the rainforest to the construction of cable-cars in Colombia and the purchase of energy-saving cookers in Madagascar.
