Mandatory tests on return to or arrival in Germany
Travellers arriving in Germany from regions with an increased risk of infection will have to undergo a coronavirus test from the beginning of August 2020. The test is free of charge and can be carried out, for example, at test centres at the airports. The obligatory test must be done within a maximum of 72 hours after entering the country. Tests from abroad are accepted, provided they are not older than 48 hours at the time of arrival and meet the official requirements of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

Corona rapid test at Frankfurt Airport
At Frankfurt Airport, the company CENTOGENE, in cooperation with Lufthansa and Fraport, offers you the possibility of Corona rapid tests. This is a test for an acute corona infection, with which you can avoid restrictions after landing at your destination.

Corona rapid tests at Munich Airport
Passengers at Munich Airport also have the opportunity to be tested for possible infection with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. Medicare, a subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH, offers such tests for a fee (€190; plus weekend and nighttime surcharges where applicable) at the airport's medical center (Terminal 1, Module E, Level 03). The PCR test is in the form of a throat swab. The results are sent by e-mail in German and English. A positive test result is forwarded to the public health department.
Anyone interested in such a test must register for it by calling the airport's emergency ambulance on +49 89 975 633 99 or sending an e-mail to notfallambulanz@munich-airport.de (there may be longer waiting times due to high demand).
Note: Testing is only available for persons without Covid-19 symptoms, or without contact with a person who may be suffering from Covid-19.

Corona rapid tests at Vienna Airport
Vienna Airport now offers passengers the possibility to undergo molecular-biological COVID-19 testing (PCR test) at the airport. The test findings are available within a period of about three to six hours.
