Berlin Brandenburg’s Willy Brandt Airport

Immediately after the airport opens at the end of October, Lufthansa Group airlines will begin moving from Berlin Tegel to the capital’s new airport.

Eurowings flights will take off from the new airport for the first time on 4 November 2020 – Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Brussels Airlines will follow on 8 November 2020. The scheduled departure and arrival times and flight numbers will not change as a result of the move.

From 4 March 2020, flights into Berlin will be booked to arrive at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Bookings already made for Berlin Tegel (TXL) with arrival in November or later will be changed to the new airport code (BER) and the flight tickets will be adjusted automatically.

When planning your flight, please take into account that you will not be landing in Berlin Tegel and may have a longer journey to reach Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
