United Airlines is further enhancing the functions of the United App: with the latest version you can now rebook or cancel flights on the move, transfer your MileagePlus number or United Club Cards for Lounge access to Apple Wallet as well as other helpful functions. Soon United will launch the “Track my bags” function, which is currently in the final beta testing phase with customer involvement. With “Track my bags” you can find out where your baggage is at the moment – still at the airport, in the aircraft or already on the baggage belt in the arrival terminal.
Recently, United made it technically possible not only to send your own electronic boarding passes to your smartphone via the United app, but also those of 19 partner airlines worldwide, including boarding passes of Star Alliance members Lufthansa with their subsidiaries Austrian Airlines, SWISS and Brussels as well as LOT Polish Airlines, Air Canada, Thai Airways, Shenzhen Airlines and Air New Zealand. Customers can also book flights with partner airlines via the United app and earn and redeem miles in the frequent flyer programme MileagePlus.
