Until 6 September 2018, from Monday, 12:00 noon, to Thursday, 12:00 noon, Munich Airport will have restrictions on its automated passenger transport system (PTS). During this time, passengers will be transported by shuttle buses to and from Terminal 2-Satellite (Gates K and L).
Overview of replacement service to Terminal 2-Satellite
- Passengers with departure area K:
shuttle buses every 2 minutes from Gates G 61 and G 62
- Passengers with departure area L:
shuttle buses every 4 minutes from Gate H29
Transfer passengers arriving in Terminal 2 and continuing their flight from Terminal 2-Satellite will also be transported to gate areas K and L by these buses.
Overview of replacement service to Terminal 2:
- The departure points of the replacement service for passengers arriving in Terminal 2-Satellite (Gates K and L) are signposted accordingly. The shuttle buses take passengers to the baggage claim area and the exit.
- Transfer passengers whose onward flights depart from Terminal 2 are guided to gate areas G and H by shuttle buses.
As the journey to the departure gates may be extended by up to 20 minutes as a result of the replacement service, passengers are requested to take this additional time requirement into account when planning their journey.
The autonomous airport underground train connects Terminal 2 with Terminal 2-Satellite and is to be expanded in its functionality in order to be able to cope with the increasing number of passengers in the future without any problems. Intensive testing is required for the planned transition, during which the passenger transport system is unfortunately not available.
