Strong together: Cathay Pacific Airways and Lufthansa Group

The Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific Airways and Lufthansa Group Airlines have agreed on a new cooperation from which you’ll benefit too. Enjoy the new codeshare connections and an improved route network via Hong Kong to Australia and New Zealand. 

As a result, from 26 April 2017 you can fly to four new destinations via Hong Kong:

  • Sydney
  • Melbourne
  • Cairns
  • Auckland 

As a Lufthansa Group Airlines passenger coming from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna or Zurich, you can connect seamlessly to selected Cathay Pacific Airways flights via Hong Kong. You can book the entire codeshare connection and check your baggage through. 

In turn, Cathay Pacific Airways passengers, using a Cathay Pacific flight number can fly to fourteen different Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines destinations in Europe on their ticket. This is in addition to the already existing Cathay Pacific Airways flights to Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Zurich.
