Is your diary crammed full, with one meeting straight after another? On all Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa long-haul flights1, you can now save valuable time after landing. Simply book a seat in the preferred seating zone in the first rows of Economy Class, and you will then be among those passengers who disembark first – enabling you to get from the airport to your meeting even quicker.2
You will be able to book a seat in the preferred seating zone for a fee from 20 February 2018 – for travel from 7 March 2018. The fee is based on the route length and will range from EUR 30 to 50 / CHF 35 to 55 / USD 35 to 55 per segment.3 If you are an HON Circle Member or Senator, you will be able to book a seat in the preferred seating zone free of charge (subject to availability).
As a rule, the preferred seating zone is located in the front section of Economy Class, directly behind Business or Premium Economy Class. For the precise location, please consult the seat map when booking.
Due to technical restrictions, the preferred seating zone on Austrian Airlines’ and Lufthansa European flights will be introduced at a later date. SWISS already offers this service on all worldwide flights.
1 The preferred seating zone is currently only available on intercontinental flights operated by long-haul aircraft. On certain routes (e.g. to/from Cairo) on which a short or medium-haul aircraft is deployed, seats cannot be booked in the preferred seating zone.
2 Applies only in the event of the aircraft parking at a gate. If it parks on the apron, all passengers will be transferred to the airport building by bus.
3 Subject to change without notice. For up-to-date prices, please consult your booking tool.
