Aperitivos, fresh pasta, barista-served espresso – passengers can now experience Milan’s typical culinary delights in the new Lufthansa Lounge at Milan-Malpensa Airport, where they can relax and enjoy the wait for their flight in an Italian atmosphere.
The recently opened lounge in the airport’s Terminal 1A represents a new and exclusive lounge concept, which is ground-breaking for future lounge openings and conversions within the Lufthansa Group. Future lounges will be more individual than ever before and include a local touch that integrates local features into Lufthansa design. In Milan, the total area of 550 square metres with 117 seats has been structured according to the latest architectural findings in such a way that comfort, privacy and a feel-good ambience have come to the fore – making it an ideal place to work and relax. The lounge guest should feel as at home as in their own living room. Huge, ceiling-high windows provide a magnificent view of the airport apron.
Great food is provided at a front-cooking station. Here, ‘made in Italy’ culinary specialities are freshly prepared for lounge guests, for example their favourite pasta. At the central bar, baristas treat guests to freshly brewed coffee specialities and Italian aperitifs served with finger food. In the entrance area of the Lufthansa Lounge there is also a Coffee Corner for guests who would like to kick-start the day without spending too much time.
