The Munich hub has proven itself to be a premium hub and was the first European airport to receive a 5-star Skytrax award as early as 2017. In the same year, Munich Airport was named Europe’s best airport for the tenth time. Themodern Lufthansa fleet,consisting of 25 long-haul aircraft and 95 short- and medium-haul aircraft, flies business travellers quickly and comfortably to their business destinations. The fleet comprises five A380-800s, considered to be the largest, quietest and most popular passenger aircraft. In addition, the first eight of 15 aircraft of the world’s most modern long-haul jet, the Airbus A350-900, are already stationed in Munich. Lufthansa’s Gate or Ramp Direct Service helps passengers whose transfer time in Munich is short due to the delayed arrival of their feeder flight. Passengers are welcomed by Lufthansa staff directly at the arrival gate and shown the quickest way to their connecting flight.
