On European routes with an Economy Flex and Business Class fare or a corporate rate you can rebook free of charge on the day of departure to an earlier flight – at no additional charge, even if the original booking class is no longer available. The rebooking takes place as part of the check-in procedure, and you are immediately issued a new boarding pass for the earlier flight.
This offer is valid for:
• Passengers who have booked a Business Class fare (except Saver fare), Economy Flex fare or a corporate rate (CR/CO and PAF) with one of the following:
o An Austrian Airlines ticket on flights operated by Austrian Airlines
o A Lufthansa ticket on flights operated by Lufthansa
o A SWISS ticket on flights operated by SWISS
• Changes to an earlier flight, which are operated by the same airline for the same day and routing
Rebooking free of charge is not applicable for:
• Codeshare flights
• Passengers who have already checked in baggage
• Passengers who have booked a billable additional service (i.e., special meal or upgrade) or a special service
Important information on rebooking free of charge:
• Changes can only be made on the day of departure
• Changes are only possible if a seat is still available in Economy Class (for booked Economy Flex fares) or in Business Class (for booked Business Class fares)
• With Lufthansa, free changes can be made while checking in online either at LH.com or using the Lufthansa app, at a check-in machine or at check-in desk
• With Austrian Airlines and SWISS, free rebooking can only be made at the airport using a check-in machine or at a check-in desk
