Lufthansa is ATW Airline of the Year 2019

Lufthansa was chosen as ATW Airline of the Year 2019 in New York on 26 March 2019. This award was presented as the highest distinction at the 45th Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards Ceremony of ATW. This is the first time in 14 years that the prize has been awarded to a European airline.

Lufthansa received the award primarily because the airline introduced new technologies and service facilities that improve the passenger experience. Lufthansa was also the first European airline to receive a Skytrax 5-star rating for its first-class customer service on the ground and in the air. Lufthansa also continues to be a leader in the field of sustainability, operates one of the most modern and economical fleets and implements numerous fuel-saving projects.
