In the Schengen area of Terminal 1A at Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa is opening the Panorama Lounge in addition to the existing lounge facilities – the airline’s response to increased demand in the two existing Business lounges in this area caused by the rise in passenger numbers. The highlight of the Panorama Lounge is the breath-taking view of the apron of Frankfurt Airport. Taxiing aircraft seem close enough to touch. The lounge, which is initially different from the usual Lufthansa design, has a spacious main area with lots of seating options, as well as a food and beverage buffet. In addition, it offers several smaller rooms for working or relaxing, a smoking area, further buffets and a relaxation room. The restroom area is well equipped and has four showers. The Panorama Lounge is open from Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The seating capacity in this area has thus been increased by 40%.
In addition, Lufthansa is planning several more projects to convert and expand the lounge area at the Frankfurt hub. These will help to further improve the lounge experience for Lufthansa guests.
