Austrian Airlines has now secured six additional A320 aircraft as part of its fleet restructuring. The first of these jets has already been delivered in Austrian Airlines’ red-white-red livery. A total of ten additional jets are to replace the 18 Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft by 2021. Austrian Airlines will thus increase its Airbus fleet from 36 to 46 aircraft. The entire Austrian Airlines fleet currently consists of 82 aircraft.
Dash decommissioning in full swing
Austrian Airlines removed two Dash aircraft from its fleet in 2019. The sale of another aircraft is planned for this year. In 2020, nine turboprops will leave the Austrian Airlines fleet, and six more will follow in 2021.
